In pursuance of good governance, smooth administration and in conformity with the regulations regarding tertiary institutions, the Ministry of Health decided to reconstitute Regional Advisory Board for all Health Training Institutions in the country.

In this regard, the Regional Coordinating Council inaugurated the Regional Advisory Board for the Health Training Institutions in the Greater Accra Region on 18th November, 2011 at the Regional Coordinating Council Accra.

The following are the current Advisory Board Members of the College:

  1. Group Captain J. L. Thompson (Rtd) (Chairman): representative of Ga Traditional Council
  2. Very Rev. Ashford N. Y. Quarcoo (Vice Chairman): representative of Local Council of Churches
  3. Pastor Ashford Smith: representative of Regional Co-ordinating Council
  4. Mrs. Ernestina Afosah-Anim: representative of Ministry of Education
  5. Mrs. Elizabeth Brobbery: representative from the Community 
  6. Mr. Joseph Owusu-Agyeman: representative of Regional Health Administration
  7. Mrs. Theresa Awo Segbefia (Principal of the NMTC Korle-Bu) 
  8. Mrs. Angela Adukwei Anamoah (Secretary)

Some of the Mandates of the Advisory Board:

  • Advise the Principal on management and governance issues of the institution
  • Support the mobilisation of extra funds or resources especially from infrastructure development
  • Assist management in maintenance of discipline in the college
  • Forster good relationship between the institution and its major stakeholders
  • Ensure that concerns of the institution are adequately presented to the Regional Coordinating Council for support
  • Support the institution in development of its strategic plan and achieve targets set within the performance agreement with MOH
  • Advise MOH on issues related to the development of the staff and school
  • Any other local issues relevant may be handled by the Advisory Board
